Intermediate Alcohol Ink Workshop: Gaining Control and Adding Realism
** This workshop is not currently scheduled. If you'd like to be notified when it's available, please join my email list **
After a brief review of the fundamentals learned in the Intro workshop, we’ll learn to bring more control and realism into our paintings. Tools include paintbrushes, alcohol ink markers, felt, toothbrushes, and oil pens. Bring along any tools you'd like to try! We’ll learn a subtractive technique which reveals that removing ink can be as interesting as putting it on. We’ll try our techniques on both Yupo paper and ceramic tile, discovering the unique advantages and limitations of each. We’ll have a “quiet time” during the 2-hour workshop to engage deeply in ink play while listening to music.
All levels welcome, but if you’ve never used alcohol ink before, taking Intro to Alcohol Ink Workshop first is recommended.
All workshops include information on sealing and framing your creations.
Wear clothes that can get messy, and bring a smock if you have one.
All workshops are held in my private studio in downtown Corvallis, OR. Location and directions will be emailed prior to the start date.
